Emerald Bride, Michele Rippey Wentz

Hello Michele!!!

Michele and her now husband have been together for five years! He proposed on a trip to Broken Bow on Sept 17, 2021. She anticipated the proposal, but he still pulled off surprising her! He told her he needed help with the grill outside at the cabin they rented. While she was looking inside the grill, he got down on one knee behind her to propose! HOW CUTE.

Michele was such a welcoming soul whenever she walked through our doors! Michele had quite a few dresses of ours she was interested in but our dress Scout by Mon Cheri completely won her over!

Michele’s wedding was absolutely beautiful and they were surrounded by all the love.

Amazing!! My girlfriends and I had the best time at Emerald’s. It was such a fun atmosphere to walk into. Very inviting, no pressure, laid back but fun; the staff were extremely kind and offered experiences and suggestions, and all of the gowns were gorgeous.

What made you fall in love with your dress?

“The fit, the lace detail, my girlfriend's reactions and the way I felt when I first saw myself in the mirror. It was like the whole room lit up!”

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?

“Have your wedding where you've always dreamed of because there's nothing better than being in a dream come true!”

If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?

“I would recommend that vendors introduce the bride to people who may be assigned to the event or filling in on the day of in advance. It was frustrating to not have communication with people who were actually running the event because they only received second hand information and inevitably did not meet all of my expectations.”

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

“The officiant asked us a couple of questions that we were not prepared for like addressing us instead of the audience to ask if there was any reason we shouldn't be married. We were laughing during our sand ceremony because we were both like what is going on, haha! This was captured well in one of my favorite photos!”

Would you consider your wedding traditional or non traditional? Why?

“Non traditional Destination, small, immediate family only, low key, no bridal party.”
