Emerald Bride, Daniela Mendez-Jasso

Say hello to our Emerald Bride, Daniela!

Daniela and her now wife had decided to get married on their nine year anniversary! HOW SWEET. Whenever Daniela sent in her pictures and story we just wanted to cry! They’re such a sweet couple and we are so happy that Daniela is apart of the Emerald family.

Daniela is wearing one of our dresses from our Moonlight collection, named Callie. Callie is a simple, sleek dress that is so sophisticated! Callie has a sweetheart neckline with detachable beaded cap sleeves that just add the right amount of sparkle.

It was honestly quick and easy. They made me feel so comfortable trying on dresses. They were very accommodating and the communication was on point. If I had a question or concern, they were a text away. 100% recommend to future brides.

What made you fall in love with your dress?

“I am a simple girl, so I wanted a dress that was simple, elegant, comfortable but sexy. I described my vision to them and they made it happen with the first dress! It was my first time dress shopping and it was perfect.”

If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?

“I think for me it was the shock of how expensive everything is. Which I completely understand with inflation. I was not prepared for that but would definitely recommend setting a budget and prioritizing what is important to you.”

What do you think would make the wedding planning process easier?

“What was hard for me was the lack of representation in the Latino community. I think if there was network or social events in where brides could get together and share ideas that would be great. Especially brides of different backgrounds or LGBT brides.”

What was one thing that was considered a “must have” for your wedding?

“A must have is a wedding coordinator. She made the day run smoothly and she was on top of everything!”

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

“I think my favorite memory from our wedding was our private first dinner on the rooftop. We are big foodies and we love to eat. So getting to enjoy that time with her and food was amazing. Also, it was an opportunity to take everything in and enjoy that moment with her.”

Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?

“We got married at the Lazy S Hacienda in Weatherford. We got married there because the venue is beautiful! We wanted something that represented our Mexican roots but also had a touch of modern. It was perfect.”
