Emerald Bride, Jeanna Miller Wells

Today we are featuring our Emerald Bride, Jeanna!

Jeanna and her now husband said I do on October 29th 2022 at this beautiful venue called The Barn at Wolf Ridge Farm in Gainsville. You can see Jeanna wearing one of our soft bohemian fit and flare dresses named Florence. Florence is one of our Enchanting by Mon Cheri gowns that has such unique lace detail, hints of beading and a deep plunge. Jeanna is absolutely rocking our Florence gown!

I had an amazing experience at Emerald’s! Chrystal, my bridal consultant, was super helpful and she was very personable. We loved the intimacy of the shop and they have a great dress selection. I also loved the openness and natural light of the boutique.

What made you fall in love with your dress?

So, funny story about the dress. I was torn between two dresses and chose a different dress the day of my consultation. When I got home I was looking at the pictures of both dresses. I sent one of my good friends the pictures of both dresses and she said I looked stunning in the one that I did not choose. I knew that I had to go with the other one. I called the next morning and they were able to cancel the original order and place an order for the other dress. I loved everything about that dress. The beading, the silhouette, the color, the lace and way it fit my body. The seamstress even said the dress was made for my body. The dress made me feel gorgeous and it was perfect for the venue. It even paired well with cowboy boots.

What was one thing that was considered a “must have” for your wedding?

For everyone to have a good time and for me to not be stressed. I hired a day of coordinator through the venue in order for the wedding to go smoothly and for me to not stress. I could not have done it without the day of coordinator.

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?

Go with your gut when it comes to making decisions. Do not try to take on everything yourself as it will stress you out. Hire a day of coordinator to make your day go as smooth as possible. And most of all have fun and enjoy YOUR day.

If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?

Pricing. I think venue pricing should be more affordable. Most places closer to us were out of our budget so we had to choose something further out. However, I absolutely loved my venue.

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

My father-in-law officiated the wedding for us. During the ceremony when we were exchanging the rings, he was trying to give Danny his ring instead of my ring. Danny told him the other ring and he was like huh. Then Danny told him again the other ring and he’s like oh and gives Danny the correct ring. Then he was supposed to say you may now kiss the bride and he said I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Wells. I whispered to him you may miss the bride and he says oh husband and bride. I said no, kiss the bride while laughing. Our guests were laughing too. He finally said it and then we did the kiss. We also had so many laughs with each other during the wedding. My other favorite memory is our private last dance. We laughed and enjoyed each other.
