Emerald Bride, Leslie Lively-Turner

We are so excited to feature our Real bride, Leslie Lively-Turner! A breath of fresh air, steady as a rock, calm cool & collected, Leslie was the sweetest and friendliest bride that has left us with everlasting smiles on our faces. You can find Leslie wearing Marlowe, a WIlderly by Allure dress. Marlowe is effortlessly comfortable and oh-so chic with her high neck! The bold lace pattern accompanied by the open keyhole back take Marlowe from cute to HOLY WOW. When we hear elopement in Colorado, we RUN to Marlowe because we promise, there is no dress more comfortable than her. She sets the standard for comfortable chic and every other dress just falls below.

How did your fiancé propose? And when?

My fiancé proposes in his car. He originally wanted to do it outside by the lake but it started raining like crazy and we laughed, had beer, and he proposed. 07.05.21

How did you and your now husband / wife meet?

We met at school! He was late for an event I was running and I couldn’t help giving him sass. He made me laugh and I just knew eventually we would connect. I ignored him for 6 months knowing he would be trouble but we ended up being best friends and falling in love.

Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?

Breckinridge CO! We did an Airbnb wedding. It was easy, fun, private, and no rules.

Did you do a first look at your wedding? If so describe it!

We did! We both happy weeped. Everything made sense, all the anxiety, and challenges. He waited outside in front of the mountain range and I walked up behind him.

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

Probably when we had everyone pray or spread positive blessings for us. We had them circle around us and touch us. It was beautiful.

Would you consider your wedding traditional or non traditional? Why?

About as non traditional as I could do. We did everything backwards, no parents walking us down an isle. My uncle walked me. Did our own vows, saw each other before the ceremony and did first look, it was so easy.

As a couple, what is your favorite date night?

Dressing up for dinner, delicious drinks, slight tipsy and lots of laughter. We are simple.

Describe your experience at Emerald’s.

Everyone was so AMAZING. They made me feel so special.

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?

The anxiety is tough but the day is worth any tears, or challenges experienced. Schedule private time after ceremony with your spouse.

If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?

It’s difficult for people to afford weddings and that shouldn’t be a problem.
