Emerald Bride, Cheyenne Odden Goines

We have the absolute pleasure of featuring our next bride, Cheyenne Odden, for our Real Emerald Bride Blog. Cheyenne was a breath of fresh air the moment she walked through our doors. You can find Cheyenne wearing a one of a kind, once-loved dress, we had the pleasure of finding a new bride (Cheyenne!!) for through our consignment program. This stunning mermaid style dress has an incredibly unique lace throughout adorned with all the sparkle and glam. The plunging neckline is delicately lined by rhinestones that cascade over the shoulders to the uniquely modern and strappy back. To say this dress and bride were meant for eachother is an absolute understatement!!

Want to know more about their spooky first date? Read below for the details of Cheyenne’s love story and wedding day:

How did you and your now, husband, meet?

We actually met through my mother in law! I knew her from my work and she introduced us. Our first date was breaking into the baker hotel to take photos and explore and the rest is history.

Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?

Rest Yourself River Ranch in Mineral Wells. We chose this location because it was simply breathtaking.

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

Probably how the second photographer told me that she would come get me to walk with me to help carry my train to the ceremony and she ended up misunderstanding me so everyone thought I was a runaway bride when I was ten minutes late from walking down the aisle. 🥲

Is there anything you would change about your wedding?

Not a thing. Although I wish I would’ve ate more before everything started going. I felt awful at the end of the night because I was so hungry.

Where did your wedding inspiration come from?

I really don’t know. I’ve always loved rustic boho decor and it just felt right to do it the way we did.

Would you consider your wedding traditional or non traditional? Why?

Non traditional. My father didn’t walk me down the aisle. I didn’t have a garter. I didn’t have super religious ceremony. We did things our way!

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?Describe your experience at Emerald’s.

#1, DIY is your best friend. The wedding industry is stupid expensive and it doesn’t have to be. #2 make sure you understand going into it that things will go wrong, and that’s okay. Focus on spending time with your soon to be spouse and your family.

Describe your experience at Emerald’s.

Nothing short of amazing. I went knowing I would find an amazing unique dress, and we did just that. Seriously the women that run Emerald are so sweet and thoughtful. I recommend you guys to literally everyone I know.
