Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this venue?
Creek view venue in Sanger. We live right down the road and it was such a cute venue, perfect for a smaller wedding of 50 guests.
Did you do a first look at your wedding? If so describe it!
Haha yes and no. I told my husband we were doing a first look, but really it was his best friend in a white dress and veil! It was prank on him to loosen him up before the ceremony. I have pictures 👌🏻
Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?
Besides the first look prank, it was when he first saw me walking down the aisle. It was a long walk to the outdoor ceremony, so he could’ve seen me at the top of the hill but his brother had told him not to look until he said so. I was all the way to the aisle before he finally looked and he audibly said “oh shit!” And everyone started laughing. He said he had no control over it and I looked so amazing he couldn’t hold it back 🥰
As a couple, what is your favorite date night?
We don’t get to very often bc we have 4 kids, but we love the drive in theatre, and we love go-karting and paint balling (we often settle for laser tag though!).
What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?
Keep your mind open and don’t stress the small details. Not everything goes according to plan and you may find something you love that doesn’t fit your first vision- it’s okay. It’s still going to be perfect for you. Everything will come together in the end and it’ll be amazing.
If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?
Honestly, the stress of it all. It’s so much pressure and it doesn’t have to be. Brides are so worried about pleasing everyone that I think we forget it should be the other way around. Everyone should be doing everything to please the bride and take some stress off of her.
What do you think would make the wedding planning process easier?
Wedding coordinators should be a necessity. “Congrats on your engagement, here’s a coordinator!” Lol I wish I’d had one!
Describe your experience at Emerald’s.
It was great! I ended up going for something different than what I’d expected and the stylist was great at making suggestions based on what I liked/disliked on other dresses.
