Heather and Ryan have been together over 5 years and both went to A&M but never dated! Hint why they decided to go with the colors maroon and gold with a rustic vibe. Ryan and Heather got married at this beautiful venue in Fort Worth right by our boutique called The Brik.

Heather is wearing one of our Wilderly dresses named Millie! Fun Fact Heather had enough time to get her Millie dress customized with the long sleeves she was wanting! Allure can customize ANY of their dresses with the appropriate timeline. Heather knew exactly what she was wanting whenever she came to see us! She just needed some extra support and love from us.

Heather and Ryan look just SOOO happy and surrounded by love.

Here is what Heather had to say about her experience with us!

I felt so welcome by everyone at Emerald’s Bridal! When I walked in, the staff present greeted me by name and were eager to help! They knew which dresses I wanted to try on and quickly pulled them from the racks for me to try on. They made me feel comfortable in my own body and made me feel relaxed. I didn’t feel like I had to rush or hurry.

Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?

We got married at BRIK in Fort Worth TX! We knew we wanted it to be local to make it easier for family traveling etc. A lot of people made a mini vacation out of it and explored Fort Worth. Plus, I fell in love with BRIK the second I walked in there and was hoping Ryan felt the same. He said he really liked it and loved the rustic feel.

Did you do a first look at your wedding? If so describe it!

Yes! Since we had a winter wedding we were running against time in the sun for pictures. We decided on a first look and it definitely helped with our nerves (we still cried during the ceremony). It was special to spend some time together before the ceremony and reception.

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

Our favorite memory is when we hugged each other after the ceremony and cried a little and just took a deep breathe because we were finally husband and wife. (This moment was captured by our photographer without us knowing :)) We also did the Aggie War hymn during the reception!

What was one thing that was considered a “must have” for your wedding?

I would say a wedding planner or coordinator. Planning a wedding is super stressful and I only had a month of coordinator. If I could go back, I would hire a full time planner to help alleviate all of the stress!

What made you fall in love with your dress?

The lace detail! As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. I felt comfortable, beautiful, and just happy!

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?

Trust your gut! It’s your day! Especially with dress shopping, if you like a dress and others don’t it’s okay! Your inner beauty and personality will radiate around you on your special day!

What is the best relationship advice you have received?

Communicate! Communicate with your partner about everything and anything.

Congratulations Heather and Ryan!

We are truly so happy for you guys and wish you the best of luck!

Thank you for sharing your love story with us.
