Today we are sharing the love story between our Emerald Bride Deyanira and her now husband!
Deyanira and her husband have been together for nine years but have known each other since 2011! HOW CUTE. They met in high school in science class and a little secret she actually hated his guts, but clearly she couldn’t stay away! They decided to have a very small wedding at an Airbnb on a lake house and made a weekend out of it.
Deyanira is wearing one of our Wilderly dresses named Paisley! Paisley is a fit - flare sheet lace gown that has a gorgeous low back and very minimal beading on the straps. Not only is she comfortable but she also shows off all the curves!!!

“I loved the experience. Caitlyn made me feel so comfortable in my own skin. Very attentive to how I reacted to each dress. Definitely hyped me up. I felt so beautiful and she helped me pick out the perfect dress that fit me.”
What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?
Do not worry, everything will eventually fall in place. Do not bother being a bridezilla. Not worth it.
If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be?
Normalize small weddings
What do you think would make the wedding planning process easier?
Maybe having more of an agenda and check off list.
Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?
My funny story during the wedding is my husband having his phone in his pocket and picking up the call right before starting our vowels.everyone was like put the phone down.!! Also we had uninvited guest at our wedding right after our vowels which we edited them out. (2 dogs) on almost all of our pictures.
How did your fiancé propose? And when?
My fiancé proposal was well planned and caught me off guard. Specially after being the second proposal. It was on my birthday. He said he was taking me on a date night. When we arrived it was a small airport. They had a small intimate restaurant. As he night moved along I thought we were going to jump off a plain, (I wasn’t ready for it). We finished our dinner and it was time to jump on that plane. It turned out it was flight over Dallas. As we flew over Dallas the pilot asked if we were ready for the scariest ride of our life and he dropped the plane. I screamed !! And then my fiancé said “ are you ready for the next scariest ride? Will you marry me?”
