Here is the cutest love story of our Emerald Bride Ashley and her now husband Jacob.
Ashley and Jacob have been together since the pandemic! Jacob proposed to Ashley at one of their favorite spots. Andy’s frozen custard - Jacob was so nervous in the car the whole time and Ashley didn’t know what was going on. It was June 1st 2022 - Ashley obviously said yes and then they went to chillis and the Andy Grammer concert. It was perfect and very on theme! Such a cute story and who doesn’t love Andy’s!
Ashley said yes to not only Jacob but said yes to one of our ballgown dresses named “Daisy.” Daisy is one of our timeless, romantic gown’s and has the cutest floral lace. Ashley fell in love with Daisy for multiple reasons but one of the reasons we won’t forget was that her dog that recently passed.. her name was Daisy. UHHHH CUE THE TEARS. We were ALL crying happy and sad tears. We knew that this moment, this dress and this bride was going to be a forever kinda thing!

Here is what Ashley had to say about her experience with us!
What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?
“No one is going to know what didn’t happen but you. At the end of the day all that matters is you feel beautiful and that you get to marry your bff.”
If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?
“One thing I struggled with while planning was feeling alienated as a plus size Hispanic bride. There isn’t a whole lot of representation in the main stream wedding industry and that was really hard for me.”
Did you do a first look at your wedding? If so describe it!
“Jacob and I decided against a first look - but we did decide to do a first touch. His eyes were closed the whole time but I definitely didn’t care and I looked immediately and he looked so handsome and sharp.”
What made you fall in love with your dress?
“Ugh my dress was magical. IS MAGICAL. Outside of the obvious lace, it really was the glitter - it was like it was there and it was present without begging to be seen and I really loved that.”
What was one thing that was considered a “must have” for your wedding?
“A curated playlist + my dog in attendance.”
Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?
“My favorite memory from our wedding is our vows. I’m a lover of words - Jacob and I both are. Hearing him vow all these things to me was like - the feeling I had in my chest and my stomach was the same feeling I had when I finished a really good book. I didn’t know that feeling could be replicated till it was.”
Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?
“When trying to figure out a venue Jacob didn’t ask for much. He just wanted a big tree and I just wanted a space that felt open while feeling like a home at the same time. We ended up a trickle creek and it was a dream.”
