Emerald Bride Kayla Gadberry-Johnston

Today we are featuring our lovely Emerald Bride, Kayla!

#JoiningTheJohnstons

Kayla and her now husband have been together for three years and had a beautiful wedding surrounded by all the love and family! They decided to get married at the Red Door Ranch. Kayla said “We knew we wanted a rustic location and as soon as we pulled up to the venue we knew it was the one. So clean and plenty of room.” SO BRIDES.. Red Door Ranch is a pretty location for the perfect rustic venue!

You can see Kayla is looking absolutely stunning in one of our favorite Wilderly gowns named “Marlowe".” Marlowe’s unique sheet lace, open back and the high neck… it is a whole vibe!

Here is what Kayla had to say about hanging out with us at Emerald’s!

So relaxing! I remember being so anxious and loved how personable everyone was. I didn’t feel any pressure and you all helped me realize what I even wanted. I had a bad experience at a store the week before and they just wasn’t as friendly with me and my inexperience or my lack of knowledge with what type of dress I was looking for.

Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?

Thomas’s father has passed so I put a picture of them out on the ceremony stage. It was the perfect moment to honor him. Side note we had a bet on how many times he would cry and by the end of the night it was 7.

What made you fall in love with your dress?

The big uniqueness of the lace was what I truly wanted and I love how simple yet elegant it looks. (Fun Fact: Kayla is wearing Marlowe in the “sand” color but a nude undertone is also offered!)

What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?

“Don’t Blink” if you’ve heard the song you know. But the day of was so crazy, I wished I remembered more but there was so much going on. I wish I had more time even at the reception because you get pulled in so many directions and you feel like you have only a few minutes to visit with everyone.

If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?

Finding and booking all the different vendors! I wish there was a one stop shop for everything but I know that is a little unreasonable.
