Emerald Bride Emily Ballard-Velez
Today we are celebrating this dreamy wedding and happy couple!
Emily was so sweet the second she walked in the door! She wanted boho, beachy vibe. I mean duhhhhh they got married in Hawaii.. #GOALS!
Emily and Jacob have been together for four years and they say communication is KEY to everything! They were going for a peaceful, calm and free-spirited wedding.
You can see Emily is wearing our favorite high neck - boho dress, Marlowe.
Emily never saw herself in a high neck, in fact that was the curveball dress in her appointment. Our stylists just knew this was HER dress, we just needed Emily to see it on her. Once Emily saw herself it was a whole moment, we ALL knew this was indeed her dress.
Marlowe is offered in the Nude color which is what Emily is wearing or the Sand color, which appears more white. Marlowe is truly one of the most comfortable dressed EVER. Truly such a vibe!
We can’t wait to share all of the fun moments and advice Emily and Jacob have to share, so keep on scrolling!
Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?
“We got married in Maui, Hawaii! We chose this location because early on in our relationship, we both said that we wanted to honeymoon in Hawaii! So we just figured we would have the wedding there too!”
Did you do a first look at your wedding? If so describe it!
“I did not! I wanted him to see me for the first time when I was walking down the “isle”, or beach in mr case! He was turned around, facing the ocean, and then our officiant blew a shell three times. On the third time, my husband turned around and that was the first time we saw each other on the day!”
What was one thing that was considered a “must have” for your wedding?
“The honeymoon in Hawaii! We really didn’t want to budge on that, so that’s why we ended up having the ceremony there also!”
What made you fall in love with your dress?
“I could envision the entire day when I put on my dress! Is was the only one that I tried on that felt like it was made just for me! (And I cried!)”
What do you think would make the wedding planning process easier?
“Being of the same page with your fiancée really helps make everything go smoother! So make sure y’all agree on everything!”
