Emerald Bride, Jasmine Franklin Smith
We can’t wait to share our Emerald Bride Jasmine’s story! It brought tears to our eyes!
Jasmine was just full of kindness the second she walked through our door. Her wedding was coming up fairly quickly whenever she came in and she was needing to find the perfect dress. Jasmine ended up falling in love with one of our consignment dresses which fit her like a GLOVE.. it was a magical moment!!! Jasmine was still recovering from a recent procedure she had and the entire moment was just a breath of fresh air.
Jasmine’s beautiful wedding dress was a gorgeous lace with sleeves and a completely sheer back with a nude undertone. It was a gorgeous dress but Jasmine made the dress even prettier!
We truly can’t wait to share her story with you guys.
What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?
“Don't get caught up in the money and appearance of the whole thing. Enjoy the experience with your man and the people you love most. Those things won't matter in a year, but the people you love are with you hopefully forever.”
What made you fall in love with your dress?
“After trying on probably 20 dresses from various stores, the second I saw mine on I knew. I was obsessed (and still am) with how classy the lacing look and the sheer material of the fabric that allowed my skin tone to subtly show. The dress felt sexy and elegant all in one.”
Where did you get married at? Why did you choose this location?
“We got married at Belltower Chapel and Garden in Fort Worth. We chose it because venues are very expensive and if we were going to dish out that type of money we wanted it to be meaningful. All proceeds to their business protect children and preserve families through the services of ACH! Big bonus; the venue was absolutely beautiful!”
If there’s one thing you would change about the wedding industry what would it be? Why?
“The superficial aspect of it. Those things literally don't matter. Enjoy the finer things for sure and create something magical, but don't let that be the most important thing. I think I have seen that increase significantly and it is a bummer in my opinion because you lose the beauty held within relationships if you allow that to consume you.”
