How did your fiancé propose?
He is a big bass fisherman so later in the evening of 5.25.21, we loaded up the boat and went to the nicest part of Lake Texoma and the first fish he caught, he asked me to come look at what the fish had in his mouth. As I walked up to the front of the boat, he threw the fish back and got on one knee. As he stood up a large yacht came back and almost knocked us off the front of the boat! (He was sneaky enough to catch it all on his go pro!!)
How did you and your fiancé (now spouse) meet?
Many years ago he used to deliver FedEx to the job I was working part time at (I was still in high school and worked with my mom) and I knew his schedule well enough that I knew what time he would deliver there everyday. It did not matter where I was at the facility, I would go running to “sign for the package”. Then after moving jobs, I no longer saw him. Years later after being at a different job, he delivered to my job and remembered me from the job we first met at. Days passed and he added me on Facebook and then messaged me asking about my mom because “he hadn’t seen her around in awhile”. The rest is history! I left our first date and went straight to my moms house and I told her “I am going to marry him, you watch me!”
Your favorite memory or funny story from your wedding?
On my side of the family, I only have one grandparent still here with us and I wanted to make it special for her and for myself. So instead of throwing my bouquet, I personally handed it to her. She is 93! Also, on our wedding day, not only did I become a wife but I gained two of the bestest boys! I became a momma!!!
What’s a solid piece of advice or quote you would share with a future bride?
Do not let anyone get in the way during your time to shine. When planning your wedding, it needs to be all about you and your spouse. A lot of drama and cold hearts can come out of the works and you do not want that to get you down or discourage you. Let your light shine and enjoy the whole process, it will be over before you know it!!!
Describe your experience at Emerald:
It was immaculate! I had a dress in mind right off the bat, saw a post on instagram of a dress I fell in love with!!! I went there specifically for the dress and left with it. I as given the option to try on other dresses and I loved so many of them but went with my heart and my first choice! Sabina was the one with me from start to finish and she was the absolute sweetest. My sisters, my mom, and my niece and nephew were with me that day. She could feel I was overwhelmed and she comforted me and it made it much more enjoyable for me.
